The Elephant Pub and Liberty Tavern in Woolton is looking for a driven & passionate multi-site Senior Operations Chef to join our team!

Rate of Pay

42,000 to 45,000 basic salary (experience dependant) TRONC (circa 6k per annum) Up to 8.6k annual bonus Based on 46 hour week. You WILL NOT be expected to work over your contracted hours. Pay is processed on the last Friday of every month.

Our Venue

This role would involve heading up both The Elephant at Woolton and Liberty Tavern as a multi-site Senior Chef.

The venues are at the heart of the community and truly unique to the area, with many of our guests travelling especially to eat and drink with us. The Elephant is renowned for both food and drink - the first floor of The Elephant has recently undergone a huge investment with more renovations coming in the near future.

Liberty Tavern is currently operating as a drinks-only venue. The newly appointed Senior Head Chef will be heavily involved with building, planning & executing a new concept for the venue, alongside the existing Head Chef of The Elephant & General Manager.

Capable of delivering 1500+ covers per week. Leading from the front - 80% of your time will be in the kitchen, alongside the brigade. Comfortable working within & managing a team of 80 Team Members. Training and supporting your brigade to produce exceptional quality dishes. Coaching and encouraging new kitchen team members to maintain a positive environment. Placing accurate orders on time to maintain a smooth service for our guests and maintain stock holding. Evidence of strong financial control - Margins, payroll, P&L analysis. Evidence of successful project work in previous roles. Confidence with finding solutions and resilience to daily challenges. Rotas within budget vs forecasted sales. Working alongside the General Manager & Head Chef of The Elephant to give our guests exceptional experiences.
Successful candidates must have a passion for fresh food & working in a fast-paced team environment. Working under the Head of Operations, you will be supported in delivering great guest experiences whilst developing your own skills and career within an independent business with a passion for breaking the hospitality mould.
