The role of the senior care worker (Days or Nights available) exists to coordinate and oversee the day to day activities of the care workers, ensuring that daily tasks are delegated and completed and ensuring the delivery of high standards of care to the people who use our service. They will also provide coaching and mentoring to other team members.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Supervise and support junior staff members in providing high-quality care.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to address any concerns or needs.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.
Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
Qualifications
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising staff.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and care plan documentation.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
