We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals. A strong understanding of IT systems will be beneficial for maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication.

Starting salary (irrespective of age)
Unqualified basic 12.60 per hour
Rising to 13.95 per hour depending on qualification level.
Shift Times
7.00 AM to 7.00 PM - Days
7.00 PM to 7.00 AM - Nights
9.00 AM to 2.00 PM - Domestic
Plus Domiciliary calls during the day.
The above rates do not include holiday pay. You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks pro rata paid holiday in addition to the hourly rate above.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and provide emotional support.
Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress using IT systems.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Drive to patients' homes as required for home care services, ensuring safe transportation.
Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
Applicants should posses NVQ level 2 or 3 and be able to administer medication.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for home visits.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the service.
