We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated HCA to join our new ambulatory cardiac treatment unit.
You will be working alongside the Cardiology team and the Specialist Heart Failure Nurses to provide ambulatory care to Newham heart failure patients
In conjunction with the Cardiology and Heart Failure Teams, the post holder will support the ongoing delivery of high quality care as well as the development of the Newham Hearts Ambulatory Treatment Service (HEARTS-NUH), initially providing heart failure patients with IV iron infusions for symptomatic relief and IV Furosemide, providing potential admission avoidance treatment to Heart Failure patients.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for compassionate and motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a hospital setting. The role involves undertaking a range of delegated clinical tasks, such as:

• Patient observations (e.g., monitoring vital signs)
• Assisting with personal care and mobility
• Supporting patients' nutritional and hydration needs
• Undertaking limited range of delegated duties (e.g. taking blood pressure, recording ECG, MRSA screening)
• Simple wound dressings
• Strong teamworking and communication skills are essential to ensure the comfort, wellbeing, and safety of our patients.
• An excellent communicator, they have experience of working in a team, to ensure the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our patients
