Key Points



The salary range of 27,000 to 32,000 is the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) range. This position is a 41-week contract so the actual salary range paid will be 21,288 to 25,231. Candidates must be willing to travel to our other hubs especially our hub in Bournville, Birmingham.

About The Role



As a Senior HLTA at our secondary Alternative Provision Hub, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the education, wellbeing, and progression of young people who face challenges in mainstream settings. You will act as a key adult for learners, helping to guide them through qualifications, personal development, and reintegration pathways, including onward progression into post-16 education, training or employment.

Key Responsibilities



Learner Support & Progress



Support and monitor the education, enrichment, welfare, and progression of learners, ensuring a safe and suitable learning environment. Act as a mentor for assigned learners, building nurturing and trusting relationships while completing weekly progress reports and updating Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) on a half-termly basis. Contribute to curriculum delivery through small-group or 1:1 teaching and mentoring sessions as directed. Support the delivery and assessment of various qualifications following training and standardisation. Supervise learner activity and equipment usage, ensuring health, safety, and behaviour expectations are upheld. Maintain high expectations of learner engagement, effort, and conduct.

Safeguarding, Compliance & Record Keeping



Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, assessment outcomes, and behaviour. Treat all personal, private, and sensitive information with confidentiality. Ensure full compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including those set by Nulogic and local authorities relating to (but not limited to) safeguarding, health and safety, SEND, attendance, behaviour, data protection, equality, and other applicable standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Team Contribution



Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including local authorities, schools, and parents/carers. Attend staff meetings and relevant training to support personal and professional development. Engage positively with all CPD opportunities and complete any required training or development activities as directed, ensuring ongoing professional growth and alignment with organisational standards. Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the effective running of the centre and organisation.

Functional Skills delivery experience/qualifications (Maths and/or English) Vocational delivery experience/qualifications Teaching qualifications Experience supporting curriculum at KS4 level Experience in delivering Maths & English at KS4 level Youth work or mentoring qualifications Training in safeguarding and behaviour management
