Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Swim teacher to join our aquatic team at one of our pools. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and sports coaching, with a focus on providing a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.

This role also requires the teacher to be the point of contact between the office and the parents and be responsible for the day to day running of the session to allow the session to run smoothly and give the teachers the support they need on site.

Duties



Deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to individual abilities and age groups Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to strict safety protocols and supervising activities at all times Plan and organise lesson plans that promote skill development, confidence, and enjoyment in the water Provide constructive feedback to swimmers to encourage progress and motivate improvement Maintain a clean and organised poolside environment, including equipment setup and storage Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding swimmer progress and safety concerns Liaise with the office with regards to any information re class movements. Liaise with Staff on site to ensure the smooth running of the session

Qualifications



Proven experience in swimming teaching Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct learners of varying ages and abilities Lifeguard certification (desirable but not essential) or willingness to obtain prior to employment First aid certification (training can be provided if necessary) Passion for teaching, sports, and promoting healthy activity habits Strong organisation skills.
This position is paid and offers an excellent platform for those looking to advance their teaching career.

This is a term time only teaching position on Sunday mornings between 8-11am, there is then additional renumeration for up to 2 admin hours per week for duties with regards to supporting the swim teaching team, class movements and badges and liaising with the office, advertising of the session adhoc as needed.

For the right candidate there will be further hours available.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25.00-35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 5 per week

Work Location: In person
