Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in housekeeping, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. This role involves overseeing housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas are impeccably maintained, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction with housekeeping services. Maintain records of cleaning schedules and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the establishment.

Requirements

Proven experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel or commercial cleaning environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike. Familiarity with janitorial tasks and equipment is essential; experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable. Cooking skills would be an advantage for assisting with meal preparation as needed. Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail; ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
