Senior HR Assistant

Quest Search & Selection are partnering with this international iconic retailer, that is steeped with heritage and prestige at a global level. The retailer has 20 stores in the UK & Ireland, with many more internationally, including high-street, airport and outlet stores.

This Senior HR Assistant role is to support the ER & Training strategies of the Company to enable the business to achieve its objectives and provide first hand generalist HR support across areas of the business.

The responsibilities of this Senior HR Assistant position include:

  • The provision of an advisory service to management on all personnel related matters including employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, payroll and training and development .
  • To assist with the training and development planning, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation across all parts of the business.
  • To assist with all ER matters including disciplinary, grievances and appeals as necessary and completion of all written communication.
  • Development and implementation of the company\xe2\x80\x99s HR policies and procedures
  • Help with recruitment and talent including interviewing and selecting
  • To act as a point of reference for Managers on all matters relating to employee benefits, remuneration etc
  • To audit Department Heads on their HR KPIs
  • To maintain and update their training Academy \xe2\x80\x93 a training programme that encircles all levels and encompasses the employees\xe2\x80\x99 journey within the business form induction to exit.
  • To advise and oversee the development plans & processes in stores and analyse the PDPs.
  • To prepare and facilitate the necessary training courses to staff of all levels from all areas of the business
  • To manage all training materials within their library
  • Provides guidance and consults on a broad range of Employee Relations issues including HR policy
  • Lead any new or updated HR processes and procedures.
  • Working on employee feedback to gage engagement, feedback and areas of improvement
To be successful in this Senior HR Assistant position you must have \xe2\x80\x93
  • 3 years + HR experience at an Advisor, Assistant or Coordinator level
  • You must have experience and working knowledge of up to date employment law
  • You must have experience of design or delivery of training materials
  • A record of providing sound employee relations advice to managers and acting up in a business partner capacity
  • Have a generalist realist including recruitment
  • Desirable, CIPD qualified (training & HR)
  • Computer literate
  • Working in a fast-paced environment in a small and agile team, where you are extremely hands-on
  • Strong interpersonal and influential skills
