We're looking for a dynamic and commercially focused Senior HR Business Partner for our Roadside Services business areas. This is a high-impact, generalist role where you'll shape and deliver strategic HR initiatives across a number of business units including Business Services (B2B) Consumer (B2C) and our Service, Maintenance and Repair business, spanning sites in London, Basingstoke, Melton Mowbray and Oldbury.



You'll need to hit the ground running, be action oriented and adaptable; with an ability to manage multiple priorities across a range of projects and initiatives. You'll act as a trusted advisor and change agent, partnering with senior leaders across commercial and operational functions, you'll drive strategic HR initiatives that support business transformation, enhance employee engagement, and build organisational capability.



Working closely with HR specialists in our Centres of Excellence, you'll deliver pragmatic, business-aligned solutions while navigating complex people matters with confidence and care.

What will I be doing?



Build strong, trusted partnerships with business leaders to understand and shape current and future people priorities. Lead the delivery of the people plan, ensuring alignment with both local business goals and the wider HR strategy. Provide expert HR consultancy across a range of areas including reward, organisation design, employee relations, talent, change, engagement, TUPE, and learning. Champion HR best practices and support leaders in maximising individual and team performance. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and recommend improvements that enhance business outcomes. Partner with leadership teams to influence thinking, challenge constructively, and identify opportunities to add value. Contribute to strategic initiatives that reduce attrition, strengthen engagement, and improve employee retention. Collaborate with HR colleagues to evolve policies and practices in line with business needs. Foster open, proactive communication with employee representatives and union officials where appropriate.

What do I need?



Capability, Knowledge and Experience:




Proven experience in generalist HR Business Partner roles, ideally within a large, complex organisation. Skilled at influencing and building trust with senior stakeholders to drive meaningful business change. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance business, customer, employee, and brand priorities. High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate and resolve sensitive or complex issues. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment law, with a practical approach to partnering with leaders. Demonstrated success in delivering HR initiatives on time and within budget. Experience managing HR-related projects and working in fast-paced, evolving environments. Confident communicator with excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills. Experience working with trade unions and building constructive relationships. Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., SMCR, FCA) is desirable.
