Job Title: Senior HR Officer - 12 Month Maternity Cover
Reporting To: HR Associate Director
Job Location: Galgorm
Core Hours: Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm
Salary: xc2xa335,000 - xc2xa340,000 per year (dependant on experience) + successful end of temporary contract bonus
About The Role:
An exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic team of passionate HR professionals, the role of Senior HR Officer will allow you to develop strong relationships across the collection, working collaboratively with colleagues and management to drive results for their respective departments and the wider Galgorm Collection.
The HR Department is comprised of a core team of seven passionate professionals who work collaboratively whilst assigned to key areas of responsibility. We're looking for someone with an innovative approach to staff development and engagement. About the role
Overview of the Role:
xc2xb7 Ensure compliance with all employee documentation, including contracts and right-to-work checks
xc2xb7 Assist with the implementation of training plans, and the creation of training structures to meet business needs
xc2xb7 Work closely with key contacts such as Payroll and Health & Safety to ensure a proactive response to any arising issues
xc2xb7 Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, working closely with the management team to support the achievement of business goals
xc2xb7 Conduct workplace investigations as required in line with company policies and procedures and best practices
xc2xb7 Implementation of planned strategy in specific areas of the HR Function as created by the HR Associate Director
xc2xb7 Demonstrates behaviours & practices which are aligned with achieving organisational objectives and creating a working environment which inspires, motivates and retains
xc2xb7 Contributing at all times to consistency of approach within the team, with regards to legislative requirements in relation to contracts, working arrangements, policy formation and implementation of terms and conditions
xc2xb7 Actively contribute to the diversity, inclusion and well-being commitment
xc2xb7 Provide advice and guidance to managers on the application of core HR policies and procedures, including performance and absence management, and development planning.
xc2xb7 Ensure the full life cycle of employee experience is representative of the Company's culture
xc2xb7 Oversee the timely submission of all monitoring reports to the Equality Commission as required
xc2xb7 Assist with implementing initiatives to optimise employee engagement
xc2xb7 Responsibility for the daily HR Function in the HR Associate Directors' absence
xc2xb7 Comply with all PCI & GDPR policies and procedures
Occasional Duties:
xc2xb7 To carry out any reasonable requests by Management
xc2xb7 To attend company in-house and external training programs when required
The Person:
Essential criteria, applicants must:
xc2xb7 Have at least two years' experience in a similar role
xc2xb7 Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of NI employment law
xc2xb7 Have experience in providing and producing high-quality advice to managers
xc2xb7 Be a strong team player with initiative, strong organisation and communication skills and the desire to succeed
xc2xb7 Have the ability to work unsupervised with a commercial approach
xc2xb7 Have a positive approach to work
xc2xb7 Be solutions orientated
xc2xb7 Have a strong interest in people relations and people development
xc2xb7 Be able to build and maintain strong relationships with department heads and to be seen by all as a credible person
xc2xb7 Be able to demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
xc2xb7 Be highly adaptive to a fast-paced role in an ever-changing environment
xc2xb7 Be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a confidential manner with attention to detail
xc2xb7 Be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
xc2xb7 Be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills
xc2xb7 CIPD Level 5 / working towards CIPD level 5- OR 5 years' experience in a busy, fast-paced HR Generalist HR role
xc2xb7 A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable criteria;
xc2xb7 Have experience in the hospitality industry

Required Criteria

  • Have at least two years' experience in a similar role
