Brief Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR / Talent acquisition professional to work as an integral Senior Business Partner across our Regional teams, working in a highly unionised environment.
You will be instrumental in our drive to transition us away from tactical, reactive human resource and recruitment management to a whole system proactive, people-led approach to delivering our business strategy. Together, we will create an engaged, effective, and efficient workforce aligned and motivated to deliver our business\'s vision and objectives. In this role as a Senior HR Business Partner, you\'ll lead the creation and delivery of the regional Talent and Resourcing plans to enable the region to secure the right resources and talent, in the right place and with the right skills to achieve business priorities, now and in the future.
Your priorities will be developing great empowered leaders to make this a great place to work, driving engagement levels up. Leading on programmes that create a sustainable, diverse and inclusive, efficient, modern and flexible organisation where we are continuously modernising and innovating, working together with your HR colleagues, our business leaders and industry partners.

About the role (External)

Your Main Responsibilities will be to

\xc2\xb7 Lead the development and implementation of the regional plan for resourcing and talent management and succession planning to build the key capabilities required to deliver against the region\'s business priorities.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement talent and resourcing plans, tools and activity across the region and deliver key systems and processes to drive simplicity, insight and action on Resourcing and Talent.

\xc2\xb7 Lead on the provision of a broad range of interventions and innovative solutions to implement resourcing and learning and development strategies across the region at all levels to drive organisational and profession performance.

\xc2\xb7 Build capability among the Resourcing community, HR generalists and business leaders to assist in the delivery of local people plans focussing on talent management, succession planning, leadership development and resourcing

\xc2\xb7 Drive the continual review and development of the region\'s New Entrant and Early Careers programmes including graduate/apprenticeship/people leadership programmes to deliver against the regions business priorities and People Plan.

\xc2\xb7 Manage the implementation of behavioural models, ways of working and assessment of capabilities to equip teams and business areas with the necessary tools and resources to required now and in the future

\xc2\xb7 Identify, develop and evaluate key Talent programmes across the region to support the
overall development of capability, embedding through engagement with key stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 Analyse and evaluate learning offerings and services, collaborating proactively as an intelligent client to Network Rail Training, Group HR Team and other related suppliers, in order to identify which business areas and talent pools to invest in.

You will ideally have

\xc2\xb7 Educated to at least MCIPD/relevant degree/masters level qualification, or equivalent experience.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrable experience in a similar senior resourcing/talent leadership role

\xc2\xb7 Qualified user of mainstream psychometrics e.g. EQi, Hogan, 16PF, OPQ, Belbin, MBTI etc

\xc2\xb7 Extensive experience in leading on successful talent and resourcing recruitment, including campaigns.

\xc2\xb7 Significant assessment and development knowledge/experience

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrable senior stakeholder management skills and experience within a matrix organisation

\xc2\xb7 High quality relationship management, influencing, facilitation and presentation skills.

\xc2\xb7 Strategic thinking, planning and analysis skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Evidence of strong customer focus with the ability to create excellent working relationships at all levels.
