Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic
Senior Import-Export Marketing Manager
to lead our
international trade and marketing strategy
, particularly in the context of the emerging
UK-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
. This London-based role is central to identifying bilateral trade opportunities, building efficient supply chains, and positioning products and services across high-potential markets in the UK, India, and the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Trade & Marketing Execution
Lead B2B marketing and international expansion strategies aligned with the UK-India FTA framework.
Build tailored go-to-market plans for diverse product and service categories benefiting from tariff advantages and streamlined regulatory access.
Develop integrated marketing campaigns for trade promotion, lead generation, and brand positioning across key geographies.
Market Intelligence & FTA Utilization
Analyse trade data, tariff schedules, and rules of origin under the UK-India FTA to identify and prioritise product categories.
Focus areas include (but are not limited to):
industrial equipment, electronics, sustainable infrastructure, technology solutions, building materials
Build and manage a strong network of trade partners, distributors, EPC contractors, resellers, and procurement heads.
Represent Empower Green at UK-India trade expos, bilateral chambers, and international sourcing events.
Forge collaborative ties with UKIBC, FIEO, EEPC, and relevant trade development agencies.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with internal teams (legal, finance, supply chain) and external advisors (freight forwarders, compliance consultants) to streamline end-to-end trade operations.
Ensure smooth documentation, certification, and customs clearance for all shipments and commercial transactions.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the company's key interface with government trade bodies, consulates, and export promotion councils.
Prepare policy briefs, export-readiness assessments, and investor/trade partner presentations as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's in
International Business, Trade, Marketing, or Economics
.
5-7 years
of experience in international B2B trade, marketing, or supply chain development, preferably involving the
UK-India or UK-UAE
trade corridors.
Strong understanding of trade agreements, customs processes, tariff regimes, and bilateral cooperation frameworks (especially UK-India FTA).
Exposure to diverse sectors such as
manufacturing, energy, technology, infrastructure, or industrial goods
.
Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25%).
Preferred Experience
Prior engagement with UK's
Department for Business & Trade
, India's
DGFT
, or equivalent government/trade facilitation bodies.
Familiarity with UK Tariff Look-up tools, India ICEGATE portal, and rules of origin certification processes.
Strong network within industry associations and bilateral chambers of commerce.
