Senior Infrastructure Engineer



We're seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining the infrastructure, and resolving escalated issues from the 2nd line support team. In addition, they will be required to perform PS and Project activities. This role requires a strong understanding of IT systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

What's involved in this role?



Here is a brief overview of this role and what's expected of a Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Provide L3 escalation support, diagnose and resolve data centre and network infrastructure technology incidents. Act as escalation point for internal and customer related incidents. Provide support, guidance and advice to other team members including procedural documentation. Coordinate with customer network and technical staff. Support all core technologies including security, LAN, WLAN, WAN, VMware, SAN Storage, authentication, and identify services. Replace equipment parts as required. Provide onsite and remote support as needed Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and support staff Support with management of the support case queue. Provide project support and delivery.
In addition to the above duties, you'll also be required to be on call 1 week in 5, for infrastructure related incidents.

How to apply?



We're seeking applications from candidates who have the following technical profile...

Experience of 5+ years of directly related professional experience and technical abilities in one or more of the following primary products and technologies (in addition to qualifications listed below) preferably in enterprise environments: Extreme LAN, Fabric and WLAN technologies Firewall services (Fortinet, Cisco) VMware, ESXi, vOPs Multiple Public Cloud Infrastructure. Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF). Ability to maintain current industry standard certification as required. Professional level understanding of network architectures, technologies, and common data transport protocols. Strong verbal and written communication with unwavering dedication to the customer experience and ability to effectively articulate and/or document troubleshooting steps performed to include incident response and root cause analysis. Experience of public, private and on-premises hosted environments. Experience supporting managed services. Experience supporting multi-OEM environments preferred.

Pay: 60,000.00-65,000.00 per year
