Job Description

One of my largest clients, a commercial (non-financial services business) has retained me to a fluent Czech/Slovakian & English speaker, based remotely either in the UK, or in various places across Europe.



The company employs over 60,000 people and turns over more than EUR/10bn in more than 14 countries globally.



An opportunity has arisen in the Europe-based (inc. UK) Internal Audit function for the appointment of a Senior Internal Auditor, due an internal promotion into the business.



For this role, the successful candidate will report to the European Senior Internal Audit Manager, the Internal Audit team (a 10-person professional team) operates globally. The majority of the work will involve performing financial, operational and controls-based audits of the Group companies across Europe with the possibility of being involved in the Group audits companies across the world (North America and Asia too). There will be degree of UK and international travel (maximum 25%) to fulfil the obligations of the role.



As the company has so many sites, operation and bases, this role will can 'based' in various places in Europe (including the UK) - your choice, just let me know where you'd like to call 'home'. You must have the right to work without sponsorship in your chosen location.



Ideally, the candidate will ideally have worked for one of the top accountancy practices (in assurance / external audit in a Big 4/Top10 etc.) or in an internal audit / risk advisory role in a multi-national firm, with experience in auditing, or a mix of the two. Audit qualifications such as ACCA, CIA, AAT, ACA, CPA, etc. are desired but are not essential. Fluency in Czech/Slovakian and good-level English is essential.



You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others, ensuring excellent service delivery and communicating effectively both as a member of a team and on your own initiative. Adaptability and determination are key personal attributes, and you will be encouraged to look for innovative solutions to any problems you may encounter. You should have a commitment to constant improvement and delivering a better service, therefore you should be self-motivated, pro-active and willing to take on tasks and duties commensurate with the role.
