The Senior Internal Auditor will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organisation. This position in the healthcare industry offers a permanent opportunity to work in Salford Quays as part of the accounting & finance department.

• Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial and operational controls.
• Identify and evaluate risks, providing recommendations for improvement where necessary.
• Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management, outlining findings and proposed actions.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on action plans.
• Support the development and execution of the annual audit plan.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the healthcare sector.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.

A successful Senior Internal Auditor should have:

• A strong background in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in internal auditing, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
