On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Senior IT Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based Hybrid in Newcastle.



We are recruiting a Senior IT Delivery Manager on behalf of the Cabinet Office to support the Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) during a critical phase of growth and transformation.



This role is central to the successful delivery of IT services and infrastructure, with a particular focus on the fit-out of a new office location in Newcastle and the onboarding of a high volume of new users. You will join an ongoing programme, helping to stabilise and streamline IT delivery, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure both project and business-as-usual (BAU) IT services are delivered effectively.



As a Senior Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

Deliver IT Infrastructure Projects: Lead the IT setup for a new office, including hardware and software deployment. Manage High-Volume Onboarding - Oversee the onboarding of up to 80 claim managers per month, ensuring smooth IT access and support. Resolve Delivery Challenges - Identify and address bottlenecks and friction points in IT delivery processes. Engage Stakeholders & Suppliers - Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including the Cabinet Office. Support Service Management - Contribute to incident and service request handling, helping transition to a stable BAU environment. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with IT support staff and bridge leadership gaps during team transitions.

Essential:

Office Fit-Out Experience - Proven track record in delivering IT infrastructure for new office environments. Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing external suppliers. Strong Organisation & Prioritisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks and high workloads calmly and effectively. Service Management Knowledge: Understanding of incident and service request processes and tools. Project Management Skills - Capable of stepping into live projects and driving them forward efficiently. Knowledge of Project Methodologies - Familiarity with Agile, PRINCE2, or similar frameworks for structured project delivery. Excellent Communication & Adaptability - Able to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable:

Familiarity with Google Suite: Experience using tools such as Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail in a professional or public sector setting.
