We have a current requirement for a senior IT Infrastructure analyst to join the business on a hybrid working capacity based in our offices in Glasgow. The senior IT Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the IT Infrastructure team at WGM Engineering. This role ensures the delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects, with the aim of ensuring the IT infrastructure supports the evolving needs of the business, while also contributing to the continuous improvement of IT operations. As WGM embarks on a period of significant growth, the Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst will play a key role in scaling support solutions, enhancing service delivery, and aligning IT operations with evolving business needs
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the IT Infrastructure team to ensure timely and effective delivery of complex IT Infrastructure Projects.
  • You will coach and develop the IT Infrastructure team to support their individual and collective professional development.
  • Monitor and report on IT infrastructure performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex or high-priority issues, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT to identify and implement service improvements, automation opportunities and digital initiatives.
  • Support the planning and delivery of IT projects, ensuring service desk readiness and resource planning.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and 1:1s to support staff development and engagement.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensure System Integrity, Data Protection, Security, Backup and Disaster Recovery are appropriate for WGM's needs.
  • Assess system performance and recommend improvements where possible.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, identifying opportunities for improvement.

To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years previous experience within a similar level technical IT position, you will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating or contributing to IT projects using structured project management tools and methodologies. You will have hands-on design and delivery of most of the following mobile device Management across PC & Smartphone/ Tablet estate, cyber essentials plus, LAN / WAN Technologies, transition from on prem to cloud (SharePoint & Azure).
