What will I be doing?
As a Senior Land Charges Officer, you will be responsible for aiding the development of the Local Land Charges service withing the Planning Directorate. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of Land Charge searches, maintaining the statutory Local Land Charges Register.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Working to develop the Local Land Charges service to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
. Maintaining the Statutory Local Land Charges Register, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Mentoring and supervising a Local Land Charge team.
Handling complex cases and providing expert advice.
Signing off Local Land Charge documentation on behalf of the Council.
Providing training and support to team members.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

Have an in-depth knowledge of Local Land Charges legislation and procedures.
Understand customer service principles and an awareness of planning and development control processes.
Have GCSEs or equivalent including English, Maths and IT.
Have experience in handling complex cases and providing expert advice.
Have significant experience in a Local Land Charges role and liaising with government departments and solicitors.
Have strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

The salary for this role is 29,711 to 33,067 per annum (Inclusive of a 2,000 recruitment allowance per annum until 13 June 2028)
