Senior Land Surveyor

Bristol, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Land Surveyor to join our growing team at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) , where we're proud to play a key role in delivering one of the most significant infrastructure projects of our time-- Sizewell C .

As part of this vital project, we're helping build a new 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will provide low-carbon electricity to around six million homes across the UK. It's a legacy-defining opportunity--one that will power our energy future for at least the next 60 years.

In this position, based in Avonmouth , you'll support our Survey Manager in leading the delivery of all survey requirements for the project. You'll not only manage and develop the wider survey team but also help implement a consistent and high-quality approach to survey data capture across the board.

Your role will be diverse--ranging from engineering control and topographic surveys to setting out and quality assurance. It's a hands-on position that requires technical strength, clear leadership, and a real commitment to safe and sustainable working. You'll also play a key part in upholding health and safety standards, preparing safety briefings, and ensuring all survey outputs meet the highest professional benchmarks.

We're looking for someone with solid experience in construction surveying, excellent knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and modern survey equipment, and the ability to guide a team while staying closely connected to on-the-ground delivery. A CSCS card is essential, and if you hold an SMSTS qualification or are working towards chartered status, that's a real plus.

This is more than a job--it's a chance to contribute to a nationally significant project, work alongside some of the best in the industry, and make a lasting impact on the UK's clean energy landscape.
