Our provision for Primary Initial Teacher Training continues to grow and includes the following programmes which lead to QTS: BA (Hons) Primary Education, BA (Hons) Primary and SEND Education, PGCE Primary Education, PGCE Primary School-Based and Apprenticeship routes, as well as a 2-year, part-time PGCE Primary programme. In addition, we offer a BA (Hons) Education Studies programme and a BA (Hons) Childhood Studies programme (both with Integrated Foundation Year). You will join our creative and enthusiastic Childhood and Primary Team and will contribute to our growing portfolio of programmes.

About the role




This is an exciting opportunity to join the vibrant School of Education and contribute to Primary Initial Teacher Training (ITT) recruitment, the training of prospective teachers and the promotion of teaching and learning, research and reach-out activities across the Faculty.


As a Senior Lecturer within the Childhood and Primary Education team, you will work across our range of provision, contributing to the wider developments in ITT provision and engaging in School Experience Supervision and Personal Academic Tutoring.

What you can bring




The successful candidate will be qualified to Master's level and will be required to hold Qualified Teacher Status with proven expertise in your subject in the primary phase.


You will have relevant experience of leadership at HE level. and demonstrate strong leadership skills.


You will have experience of recruitment and marketing activity in HE.


You will have experience of successful teaching at HE level.
