I have a rare and sought after senior legal counsel role with a global events and music business, based in Manchester City Centre. This is a new role joining an existing team of 4 lawyers, brought about by increasing amounts of project work in Europe. Reporting to the General Counsel you will support the main business and a subsidiary with commercial legal issues. You will also be required to support the more junior member of the team. The Role: \xc2\xb7 assisting with the management of the contracts database and developing precedent documents \xc2\xb7 assisting with the management of the companies\' statutory books and records \xc2\xb7 reviewing, drafting and negotiating various contracts including supply chain contracts, venue hire contracts, sponsorship agreements and other customer contracts \xc2\xb7 legal research \xc2\xb7 giving ad hoc legal advice to a range of stakeholders \xc2\xb7 assisting with commercial contractual disputes \xc2\xb7 supporting the mobilisation of new venues \xc2\xb7 providing advice on the impact of new legislation / regulations \xc2\xb7 working closely with the other members of the legal team to provide support on new business and other significant projects \xc2\xb7 Providing support to the more junior lawyers in the team as required This role would best suit a lawyer with 4 - 8 years\' post qualified experience, preferably gained in commercial contracts law. Lawyers from a real estate background may also be considered. Ideally you will have in-house experience and experience dealing with sponsorship agreements but the most important thing is that you are personal and have the aptitude and attitude to succeed in the role.
