Hours: 37 hours a week

Main Responsibilities



Senior Leisure Assistants play a key role in the day-to-day operation, ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for our users. The primary responsibilities include supervising the pool, the set down and set up of sport activities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness of our facilities. Senior Leisure Assistants will support the Duty Managers in the overseeing of Leisure Assistants whilst on duty, taking on additional responsibilities when required, and assume the Duty Manager role when suitable and required.



Role and Responsibilities

Maintain vigilant supervision of pool users and ensure their safety at all times.

Administer first aid, carry out pool rescues and provide resuscitation as necessary. Deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Report any matter of concern to the Duty Manager immediately. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary. Carry out regular "walk arounds" of the Centre. Prepare activity areas involving the setting up/dismantling of equipment. Ensure that all Centre equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use. Report any maintenance issues using the appropriate procedures. Understand business needs and support the continue improvement of current NPS score. Assist the Duty Manager with any tasks involved in the operation of the Centre. Ensure that the Changing Village and Poolside are cleaned to an acceptable standard at all times. Oversee cleaning rotas and Leisure Assistant jobs lists as appropriate. Ensure that equipment changeovers occur promptly and that set-ups and de-rigs comply with the Centre's procedures. Ability to work across other operational areas (e.g. Reception, Cafe, etc) when suitably trained and required Carry out any additional duties as required by the Duty Manager's and Management Team. To act as a Trainee Duty Manager as required.

Health & Safety



Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act; and Achieve Lifestyle Health & Safety Manual. To ensure that all equipment is used correctly and in accordance with current legislation. To work within the required standards of health and safety policies To complete checklists as required and ensure the facility is inspected regularly for any defect or reduction in service quality, and report as necessary to line manager. Maintain any suggested training requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements



National pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) (Essential) Pool Plant Operator (PPO) Qualification (Desirable)

Work Experience and Skills



Min. 6 months of working in the sport and leisure environment Experience of working with a swimming pool Passion for sport and fitness Experience of working within a customer service environment Team player and good communicator Excellent attention to detail Ability to use own initiative Trustworthy and Reliable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,680.00 per year
