Key Responsibilities of the Senior Lettings Negotiator
Leadership & Team Support:
As a
Senior Lettings Negotiator
, you will guide and support junior lettings negotiators, acting as a mentor and role model.
Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
Help the Lettings Manager improve processes and boost performance through coaching and feedback.
Lettings Management & Negotiation:
The
Senior Lettings Negotiator
will manage a portfolio of rental properties, ensuring high occupancy rates and excellent landlord relationships.
Lead negotiations, conduct rental valuations, and prepare tenancy agreements.
Arrange and carry out property viewings, securing tenants efficiently and professionally.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants as a trusted

Act as the main point of contact for all client queries, resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Deliver outstanding customer service to secure repeat business and recommendations.
Business Development:
The

will help drive new instructions by identifying and engaging prospective landlords.
Attend viewings, valuations, and networking events to grow your client base.
Contribute ideas to the lettings strategy and support wider business development goals.
Compliance & Administration:
Ensure all property listings, tenancy paperwork, and agreements are accurate and compliant.

will handle reference checks, inventories, and tenancy documents with care and attention to detail.
Stay up-to-date with lettings legislation and ensure full compliance at all times.
Performance & Reporting:
Meet and exceed individual and team lettings targets as a results-driven

Track KPIs, report to management, and provide market insights.
Recommend improvements and help implement solutions to support departmental success.
What We're Idealy Looking For in a Senior Lettings Negotiator
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a lettings role, ideally at Senior Lettings Negotiator level or ready to step up.
Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring or guiding team members.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Confident using property management software (e.g., Reapit, Alto, or Jupix).
Full UK driving licence preferred (location dependent).
ARLA Propertymark qualification is desirable but not essential.
