We are seeking a
Senior M&A Counsel
to directly manage and standardise the performance of our ancillary legal teams across our International delivery centers. This hybrid role, based in our
London/New York
office, is critical to ensuring operational excellence at scale.
You will directly manage and standardise operations, ensuring high-volume legal and transactional support meets the rigorous standards demanded by our financial institutional clients, all while integrating closely with our AI tools for maximum efficiency and consistency.
Responsibilities
Transaction Oversight & Risk Management
Act as the senior legal liaison for all M&A engagements involving demanding PE clients.
Provide expert, commercially grounded advice on deal mechanics, corporate governance, and transaction risk.
Global Performance & Quality Control
Implement and enforce rigorous Quality Control (QC) frameworks and global process standards for all ancillary tasks, including regulatory document review and corporate administration.
Own operational KPIs related to team output, accuracy, and utilisation.
Oversee the smooth functioning of service delivery across different international centres and time zones, ensuring consistent quality and seamless coverage for global clients.
Development & Operational Excellence
Drive process standardisation and execution quality for all paralegal and supporting staff.
Take direct responsibility for the professional development, training, and career progression of the junior legal team.
Integrate closely with AI tools to maximise efficiency and consistency in delivering high-volume legal and transactional support.
Implement standardised workflows and quality assurance measures for high-volume document review and execution.
Requirements
Minimum 7 Years PQE demonstrates proficiency in both general corporate law and complex M&A transactions (acquired in a private practice firm or in-house environment)
Proven ability to successfully handle the legal demands and relationships associated with sophisticated Private Equity (PE) clients.
Direct experience overseeing and guiding junior legal staff in the review, negotiation, and standardisation of foundational corporate M&A agreements, such as NDAs, engagement letters, and reliance letters.
