About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Senior Management Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage key financial operations, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and provide critical support to regional offices. You will contribute to the financial success of the organisation by producing insightful reports, maintaining compliance, and supporting the development of financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Production of monthly management accounts to include production of clean balance sheet with full set of reviewed balance sheet reconciliations and departmental P&Ls by HO function.
Entity P&Ls and BS due to FC by WD4
Monthly analysis and commentary of P&L by department, region, hub and project for review by department Directors. Variance analysis to include month on month (MoM), year on year (YoY) and versus budget/forecast. Preparation of monthly "exceptional" cost reclass for HO entities
Deputy Business partner for HO cost centres to include planning, cost reviews and recharge policies.
Timely preparation and review of full suite of balance sheet reconciliations with minimal unreconciled or aged transactions
External loan balances reconciled monthly with balances formally agreed with bank and Investor lenders annually. Monthly interest accruals in line with terms of senior facility agreement and interest SWAP. Compliance with IFRS9 when accounting for transaction costs.
Maintain register of lenders for each facility and assist with obtaining WHT clearance for foreign lenders. Reconcile WHT control account and ensure that tax is transferred to HMRC accordingly.
Review monthly group recharges and accurate processing of group loan transactions e.g. relating to shares or tax. Ensure compliant with group transfer pricing policies for management services and other recharges.
VAT returns, submission via Xero (MTD), reconciliation of control accounts
Other tasks and projects as directed by Hub Financial Controller.
Key Requirements:
Professional accounting qualification
Strong record of academic achievement at degree level and prior
3 years minimum industry experience with extra credit given for previous exposure to:
1. Highly acquisitive business
2. Private equity funded business
3. Professional services
4. Business partnering
Proven ability to develop internal processes and procedures
Additional Requirements:
Excellent communication skills required for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders - confidence handling complex issues at Director and FC level
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and organize workload accordingly
Highly personable character who can quickly build relationships across the business
Positive attitude to change and a fast-paced environment
Outstanding attention to detail with high standards of presentation and accuracy
Continuous learning and improvement mentality
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers, and deliverables.
Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel)
