We'd love you to be part of our journey:

As the Senior Manager - Analytics Engineering, you'll lead the evolution of Analytics Engineering at Compare the Market. You'll shape and deliver the strategy that moves the organisation from traditional business intelligence to a modern, scalable Analytics Engineering model - enabling the business through trusted, timely and self-service data. Working at the intersection of data engineering, analytics and business enablement, responsible for uniting Analytics Engineers and Analysts under a single vision for how we create value from data. You'll set clear direction, establish technical and delivery standards, and build a culture focused on automation, insight, and self-service. Work closely with Technology, Product and Business stakeholders to ensure our data assets, tools and people are enabling smarter, faster and more confident decision making across the business.

Some of the great things you'll do:

Define and deliver the Analytics Engineering strategy, driving the shift from BI reporting to scalable, reusable data models and self-service solutions. Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team including Analytics Engineers, Analysts and Operations, creating clear ownership, accountability and growth opportunities. Partner with Technology and Data Enablement to shape the design and delivery of data pipelines, semantic layers and analytics platforms that support consistent and trusted reporting. Drive adoption of best practices in data modelling, automation, and testing within analytics delivery teams. Lead the creation of high-quality, user-friendly data assets and tools that empower business users to explore and act on data independently. Establish and maintain standards for analytics engineering, data quality, and documentation to ensure reliability and reusability. Champion self-service, working with business stakeholders to identify enablement opportunities and embed new ways of working. Ensure smooth and efficient Operations, managing workload, demand, and continuous improvement of reporting and data delivery processes. Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders on data-driven decision making, balancing business outcomes with technical excellence. Collaborate across Data and Tech to influence future platform and architecture decisions that support analytics at scale.

What we'd like to see from you:

Proven leader of high-performing data or analytics teams. Experience modernising BI or analytics delivery functions. Strong grasp of analytics engineering practices (e.g. dbt, SQL, Git). Skilled in designing scalable, reusable data models and assets. Proficient in BI and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker, Tableau). Clear communicator, able to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen and strategic judgement. Confident with agile and continuous improvement methods. Passionate about enabling insight through self-service and automation.

Why Compare the Market?

We're a business built for pace and performance. Here, you'll be encouraged to think differently, act boldly, and deliver brilliantly in a culture that values results and rewards progress.

If you're ready to stretch yourself, raise the bar, and grow with a team that's serious about performance, innovation, and purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
