Marketing & Communications is a small team working globally and located in London, Munich and Paris. The team is responsible for all internal and external communications activities as well as marketing for the company, its capabilities and the assets it manages. The incumbent will report to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications who is a member of the Management Committee.
This global position plays a key role in the development of our marketing and communications narrative and activities for the firm's real estate capabilities which form part of PIMCO's real estate platform. It is a varied role that starts by articulating the firms real estate expertise and developing throught leadership. The incumbent then manages the roll out of marketing and communication activities in line with specific campaigns. They take responsibility for digital promotions, manage spokespeople who represent the brand at events and in the media, and have line management responsibilities for one marketing analyst.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
: Drive the development and roll out of marketing materials and thought leadership for product and capability campaigns. Partner with colleagues in the client solutions and investment teams to develop the narrative, to identify key stakeholders and to agree rollout plans.
Corporate Communications
: Prepare spokespeople and manage interactions with journalists in relation to events and media profiling. Manage the day to day interactions with the PR agency, media monitoring agencies and key publications and oversee the monitoring of media coverage in Europe, APAC and the US. This includes partnering with the Head of Events who is responsible for negotiating partnerships with the media, industry associations and other affiliations and the Asset Marketing Manager who develops asset stories and is responsible for reputation management of the buildings the firm looks after on behalf of its clients.
Digital Promotions
: Design and manage the corporate website and an active social media campaign led by the corporate LinkedIn handle, coordinating the amplification of stories relating to the business, capabilities, events and assets.
Line Management
: Responsibility for the development of one marketing analyst.
Key Requirements
Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in marketing and communications for fund managers or real estate investors, ideally in a regulated environment
Performance oriented and self-motivated with the capability to interact with key decision makers, also on an executive level
Ability to work under pressure, to manage projects to tight deadlines and to influence stakeholders
Strong team player, keen on working in a dynamic, collaborative and global environment
High level of written and spoken English, European languages a benefit (specifically German, French, Italian, Spanish)
Travel activity required, with ability to work remotely up to ten days each month
