We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of:
Senior Manager - Compliance Assurance
This is a key role within Compliance Assurance (CA), which provides assurance activities over regulatory compliance (RC) and financial crime (FC) risks. The role is part of a Regional CA Hub which provides assurance over onshore controls in Europe and contributes to the global standardised CA approach, which is aligned to the bank's Risk Management Framework (RMF). It is responsible for driving and contributing to the delivery of end-to-end assurance work over RC and FC risks and controls.

In this role, you will:
Be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Head of CA Europe International, first and second line of defence in-country Business heads, in-country Internal Audit and local regulators (as required).
Align the assurance activities across all three lines of defence to prevent duplication, excessive or deficient assurance and identify key priorities
Be a subject matter expert on assessing the effectiveness of risk management activities to meet industry standards, country regulatory obligations and bank policy
Proactively monitor and identify key in country emerging risks and/or trends across Global Businesses and Functions to help the development of the assurance programme to address them.
Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, adopting a cohesive approach to the execution of tasks with minimum conflict
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Up to date regulatory and financial crime compliance knowledge, with experience in assurance or testing activities and exposure to in leading reviews preferable
A clear understanding of regulatory and financial crime compliance risk and/or audit within the global financial services industry (including the three lines of defence model) is essential
Proven delivery experience is paramount - you will be capable of building positive and resilient partnerships with key senior stakeholders, possess strong communication skills, inter-personal and influencing skills and an awareness of when and how to adapt communication style for different audiences.
Highly motivated self-starter that can work collaboratively, delivers on time, has solid attention to detail and the tenacity and drive to overcome challenge.
Strong decision-making and analytical capability with a high level of professional and personal integrity.
