The Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team is a global organization that sits within Membership Portfolio Services (MPS). It is American Express' marketing services centre of excellence with the charter of powering high quality, efficient, user-centric digital marketing experiences that accelerate business growth through optimized enterprise MarTech & MarOps solutions.


Description


This role sits within the International Marketing Consulting Solutions & Training (IMCST) team within ECMX. IMCST enables Card Services marketing growth strategies, accelerating business outcomes through best-in-class solution design and flawless implementation with an emphasis on excellence, operational transformation and training. The IMCST organisation serves as the entry point for International Marketers executing prospect and customer marketing communications or offers. The Training support delivered spans the marketing lifecycle, partnering to drive efficiency and transparency around marketing processes and capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing continuous learning programs for ECMX platforms, with a focus on ECMX campaign execution and capabilities' new hire training-related activities as well as deliver ongoing training to ECMX customers. Developing key metrics and leveraging data insights to quantify the effectiveness of marketer training programs will be a key priority. Knowledge of training analytic tools and experience working with learning management systems required.

How will you make an impact on this role?




The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of continuous learning programs to international marketers driving operational excellence and seamlessly integrating ECMX training with marketing onboarding programs.


A thought leader and trusted partner, they will be expected to communicate effectively and demonstrate the ability to leverage and build strong relationships. They will support Global ECMX relationships and collaborate closely with International Card Services partners. They will also partner closely with Marketing Centres of Excellence across the Enterprise, Compliance and Control Management, and other ECMX functional teams to develop a comprehensive working knowledge of all ECMX processes and platforms and consider best practices and insights to improve marketer knowledge.


This is an individual contributor role. The role will be based in the UK (London or Brighton), and reports into an internationally based Director.

Key Responsibilities:




Training Strategy & Execution

Design, oversee, and continuously refine training programs for ECMX platforms and processes to ensure stakeholders are equipped with the tools and knowledge to deliver high-quality submissions. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and emerging training needs, aligning content with business priorities. Integrate ECMX training seamlessly with marketing onboarding programs to enable faster and more effective adoption.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

Build strong partnerships with Brand, Marketing, Product, ECMX Marketing Operations, Compliance, and Control Management teams to ensure training aligns with evolving priorities. Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable improvements in training delivery and materials. Partner with capability and process owners to create and implement training plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement.

Risk & Compliance Management

Ensure training programs address compliance obligations and reduce operational risks tied to submission quality. Partner with Compliance and Control Management to proactively update training as regulations and policies evolve.

Continuous Improvement & Impact Measurement

Develop and monitor key metrics to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Leverage data insights to enhance training delivery, drive higher submission quality, reduce operational risk events, and support flawless marketing execution.

Minimum Qualifications:



Prior experience in a Learning & Development role or relevant industry experience Experience in designing a large-scale training program Skilled at applying learning design and needs analysis techniques 8+ years of applying project management skills - time management, stakeholder management, project reporting skills Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple complex projects concurrently and develop in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of Change Management methodologies & best practices Experience with tracking and reporting on high volumes of data and maintaining its integrity Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business partners, internal customers, and colleagues to drive business results Excellent relationship / partner management skills / experience with ability to interact, consult and influence up and down across multiple partners / stakeholders Strong work ethic with an intense will-to-win and demonstrated personal excellence Preferred degree in Organizational Behaviour, Communications, Business, or related discipline Writing clear, concise final documents from drafts as submitted by subject matter experts Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate and explain technical concepts in a simple, easy to understand way.
