The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Logistics Manager, this position works out of our Maidenhead UK in the Global Procurement division. The Regional Manager will be responsible for the purchasing and supply management activities for all spends within the logistics categories this consists of multiple business units and geographic areas. This opportunity may require 30% travel within the EMEAP region.

You will drive the "One Abbott Procurement" vision across divisions globally and influences synergies among divisions. Work closely with key stakeholders in both Corporate and Division organisations. Identify critical business requirements and provide sourcing and procurement services. Leverage extensive market and supplier knowledge to drive lower TCO.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to employ unique procurement techniques, will be a skilled strategist, negotiator and able to drive creativity and innovation to elevate financial performance and support talent development.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

Relationship Management- Promotes positive business relationships both internally and externally. Build dependable and candid relationships that aid in innovation as well as problem resolutions to deliver best outcomes for Abbott

External Focus- Experience interacting with government agencies, diversity councils and suppliers in a collaborative manner. Demonstrates credibility, networking and benchmarking capabilities, competition, and diversity leaders. Committed to meeting or exceeding reporting deadlines.

Commercial awareness beyond procurement- Understanding and knowledge of Logistics teams and customer requirements/expectations around diversity to provide a competitive advantage to Abbott teams. Works hand in hand with sourcing as well as Logistics and transportation teams

Executive presence/exposure- Stakeholder influencing skills- experience interacting with senior leadership. Able to provide transparent message to organization to build credibility and support for program.

Organizational experience and expertise along with significant sourcing experience across several categories including all transportation modes, warehousing and distribution and associated systems, as well as capability to build future pipelines based on business and environmental needs.

Drives category strategies and translates business strategy in an aligned One Procurement strategy.

Defines category procurement strategy for Abbott- align with overall strategy and be the key enabler

Drive Total Cost of Ownership reductions for category through analytics and internal partnerships. Clearly define category taxonomy and manage baseline

Required Qualifications

BA or equivalent experience required: MBA preferred

Successful track record within procurement and supply chain management, experience within the logistics field including

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification desirable

Strong organizational skills, including program/project governance and increased levels of staff oversight. Direct experience leading governance boards of large multi-disciplinary projects.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong interdisciplinary, and excellent intercultural influence, and networking skills.

Broad international experience and globally astute

Deep knowledge of markets in the region

World class supplier management.

Relevant business process knowledge, as related to Procurement

Broad knowledge of category technologies and products.
