Position Summary





HackerOne is seeking a

Senior Manager of Procurement

to own and evolve our global procurement function. Reporting to the Vice President, Associate General Counsel, this role is highly hands-on and execution-focused, balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery. The Senior Manager will drive cost effectiveness by driving competitive bidding, strong vendor management, and streamlined purchasing processes.


This leader will improve and scale procurement operations by implementing automation, optimizing systems for usability, and ensuring compliance with both external regulations and internal policies. With a background in technology and experience managing complex vendor relationships, the Senior Manager will partner effectively across the business to deliver results.


Success in this role requires ownership of the procurement lifecycle end-to-end: negotiating favorable terms, maintaining process discipline, and ensuring timely, compliant purchasing globally. Above all, the Senior Manager is a do-er who can fix what's not working, scale what is, and save the company money while enabling teams to focus on their mission.

What You Will Do

Strengthen and scale procurement operations

by moving beyond early frameworks to establish a mature, standardized system that is reliable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

Define and track key performance metrics

--including cost savings, supplier performance, compliance, and risk exposure--and use insights to guide smarter decision-making and report impact to leadership.

Partner cross-functionally

to refine contract workflows and approval processes that balance business protection with operational agility.

Lead sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations

that achieve cost efficiency and ensure long-term business value.

Optimize our procurement platform (Zip)

to maximize automation, streamline approvals, and provide transparency across the organization.

Enhance organizational processes

by applying tools and best practices to accelerate contract reviews, deepen supplier due diligence, and unlock actionable insights from spend analytics.

Drive post-sourcing optimization

through continuous evaluation of supplier initiatives, ensuring measurable and sustained benefits.

Educate and empower stakeholders

across departments to adopt compliant, consistent, and effective procurement practices.

Develop and lead a growing procurement team

, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and workflows are clearly defined, scalable, and aligned to deliver strategic value.

Experienced in scaling procurement from strong foundations into a disciplined, mature function. Skilled at balancing strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring procurement is both business-friendly and compliance-driven. A collaborative partner who can align procurement priorities with company-wide objectives while influencing stakeholders at every level. Excellent communicator, able to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of demonstrated experience in procurement operations and strategic sourcing/negotiations, including supplier risk and relationship management. 1+ year as a people leader developing a high-performing team, defines clear roles and workflows, and scales impact by empowering others. Technologically fluent, with experience that supports leveraging AI-enabled tools and modern procurement platforms to automate processes, enhance visibility, and reduce costs. A strategic thinker who can design and scale procurement systems that drive efficiency, compliance, and long-term value. A trusted collaborator with other stakeholders, adept at creating contract and approval processes that balance compliance with speed. A data-driven leader who measures procurement success through cost savings, supplier performance, and risk reduction, and communicates results with clear business impact. A skilled negotiator and strategist with expertise in supplier management, risk mitigation, and contract design, consistently delivering savings while cultivating strong vendor partnerships.

Tier A: $166,500 - $198,000


Tier B: $149,900 - $183,200
