Senior Manufacturing & Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with both technical and problem solving experience within a specialised electro-mechanical assembly and testing environment. This role primarily supports the production of a range of standard and specialist pump assemblies, requiring the ability to design and develop new and existing test rigs. Experience in ATE (Automated Test Equipment) or similar will be a key requirement.

Key Responsibilities



Work with the Operations Team to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing processes. With experience in implementing modern manufacturing methods (Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing and ATE), effectively apply the methodologies to reduce lead times and subsequently improve quality, on-time delivery and cost to the customer. Continuously work to reduce levels of process scrap and rework through improved workflow techniques based on root cause analysis data (ideally 8D problem solving technique). Generate and update, as required, the production BOM's/Routers on the Company's ERP system (Sage200). Generate and lead the continuous development of PFMEA's for all products. Provide suitable and correct information to enable others to perform their duties effectively (process data, jigs and fixture references). Prepare and update new and existing manufacturing process documentation (SOP's) and associated tooling, required for product manufacture. Write testing software using LabVIEW, Python and C+. Design, specify and develop test equipment, including building of rigs. Work within Company guidelines and contribute to their development, the objective being to maximise Company efficiency whilst meeting customer requirements. Promote the Company Health and Safety policy and practices in all areas of the working environment. Set and manage continuous improvement.

Desirables



Experience working with an MRP system (Sage200 preferable). Proven experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. Experience working with electronics/programming. Competent in SolidWorks and designing test fixtures and rigs. Qualified in CAD. Previous experience in implementing and managing Continuous improvement.

Pay: 45,000.00-60,000.00 per year
