We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Team Leader to nurture and lead the Marketing Assistant (MA) team within our Events division. This is a critical leadership role focused on people development, marketing processes and systems optimisation, and championing marketing excellence - to nurture the next generation of marketing talent and improve commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:



People Leadership

Lead, motivate, coach and upskill a team of 10 MAs to deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns. Drive and deliver on talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies. Set KPIs, standards, and incentive structures to recognise and reward high performance. Foster a positive team culture, exemplifying our Wader values. Collaborate effectively with the marketing management team to resolve shared challenges. Confident communicator to run weekly team meetings, training sessions and present at department monthlies.
Process, Systems & Projects

Adapt and optimise processes to create efficiencies and automate tasks. Quality control and uphold campaign execution standards. Streamline cross-functional processes and improve stakeholder relationships. Define and implement benchmarks for what good looks like for the MA team. Resolve issues and elevate performance relating to marketing systems. Identify and implement new tools to optimise team efficiency.
Strategy

Own the people strategy for the MA team - from talent acquisition, talent development, talent management and talent retention. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our marketing tools, systems, and processes. Enhance the marketing skillset in the MA team and wider department.

What We're Looking For:



Proven experience in team leadership within B2B marketing (events experience not essential), with demonstrated ability to hire, coach, motivate, and upskill a junior team effectively. Leadership and talent development expertise - this is a people-first role. Excellent communicator and relationship-builder within marketing but also cross-functionally and Senior Management. Driven by a continuous improvement mindset to 'make the MA world a better place'. First-hand experience with marketing automation systems and marketing tools.
