The Opportunity

We are seeking a senior mechanical engineer to help deliver outstanding projects as we support water, energy and industrial clients in their drive to deliver infrastructure and push towards net zero. We are looking for a colleague with technical capabilities who is passionate about engineering, people, the environment and providing an excellent service.

You will be involved in energy and industrial projects with a focus on fossil fuel replacement, hydrogen and derivatives, industrial pipework and plant, supporting our pipeline of feasibility and design projects, frameworks and collaborations. You will provide key mechanical input to projects and be responsible for supporting and engaging less experienced staff. You will undertake work winning activities and have a desire to build networks within the industry.

Our multi-disciplinary engineers work closely together on a wide variety of utility and industrial projects across the UK and beyond. Is this role right for you?

We\'re looking for a senior engineer with experience in industrial pipework typically utilities or process systems, who is able to adapt and deliver projects across our portfolio of clients. You will be as inspired as we are by the problems we are solving and excited to help clients and delivering solutions. Knowledge of mechanical standards and experience of multidisciplinary design projects as essential.

We are seeking the following skills and experience;

• A demonstrable track record of mechanical engineering feasibility and design with an emphasis on water and energy systems and industrial pipework design
• Knowledge of relevant design tools techniques and methods which may include BIM, Plant 3D, AutoPIPE or other specialist packages
• Experience of working in delivery of utility infrastructure such as gas networks would be beneficial
• Good knowledge of piping design standards and safety systems
• Chartered status through IMechE or other relevant body
• Degree qualified, likely Masters level Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
