The person doing this job sets the Media Effectiveness Framework for our Consumer brands so that we can understand and optimise our media investment to deliver maximum return on investment.

As the media landscape changes it is important that our Effectiveness programme evolves too, taking advantage of new AI modelling approaches and techniques to deliver faster and more accurate insight into how each media channel is helping deliver return on investment.

In addition the person in this job also manages operational delivery of our ATL media agency contract, ensuring that we have the right agency team in place, the right cost and quality targets are in place and that these are delivered to ensure optimal return on our Consumer Marketing spends. This contract is one of BT Group\'s largest contracts valued at over \xc2\xa30.5bn.

This job will work across the whole of BT Group to ensure a consistent and effective brand architecture for customers, colleagues and the other organisations we work with.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Lead Media Effectiveness programme across \xc2\xa3200m multi-media spend across BT Group brands.
  • Define the best mix of modelling techniques to understand the impact of price, competitiveness, paid media spends, owned channel use, media channel mix, campaign messaging etc to deliver - short term sales, long terms brand health, profitability and ROI
  • Launch new weekly cross-marketing/commercial performance reviews based on new modelling approach
  • Develop and manage monthly performance deep dives showing expanded view of effectiveness, delivery vs plan, optimisations to improve delivery.
  • Own and manage central media test and learn programme, work with individual media brand leads, campaign owners and Digital Media leads develop strategic media test to drive future effectiveness learnings to further strengthen modelling
  • Own and manage media inspiration and masterclass programme for marketing
  • Operational Management of \xc2\xa30.5bn media contract, ensure the right cost and quality targets are in place and that these are deliver to ensure maximum return on our Consumer Marketing spends.
  • Lead quarterly review sessions with our Agency Exec team, ensure cost and quality delivery across the brands.
  • Manage \xc2\xa3200m annual media budget and \xc2\xa39m supplier savings programme with Consumer Finance and procurement
  • Manage media auditing across all brands all channels. Manage auditor contracts, ensure approach is best is class, evolve measures and benchmarking in-line with market changes.
Skills and experience you\'ll need
  • A passion for understanding how marketing communications work
  • Proven ability to manage the development of models that measure how media activity delivers in the short and long term
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Advertising market including broadcast channels, addressable platforms, different audience measurement approaches, how price is calculated, the drivers of inflation and how to manage quality.
  • Proven experience of running Media Campaigns either from an agency or in-house activation or tech/ad ops perspective
  • Experience with data integration projects (using API\'s, Cloud Products)
  • Excellent story telling abilities, and direct experience of being able to make complex data analysis into easy to follow/exec friendly recommendations and actions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in virtual cross functional teams, with multiple external partners
  • Highly commercial, numerical ability to model and calculate data sets, assessing accuracy and potential commercial returns
  • Attention to detail and systematic approach to data integrity.
