This is an opportunity for an experienced Medical Administrator to join our expanding team in a long established hospital. As a Senior Medical Administrator your provide a key liaison between patients, admin teams, and medical staff to ensure smooth, efficient operations and high-quality care delivery.
The task includes coordinating schedules for clinicians, handling patient pathways, managing correspondence, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting managers with reports, training, and process improvement, all while maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent patient service.

The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital was established in Aylesbury in 1832. and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region.

Essential experience and skills:
Previous experience as a medical secretary. or medical administration.
Demonstrable experience of billing of medical insurance fees.
Oversee the process of review and accurate editing of externally transcribed letters.
Ability to comprehend hospital charging processes.
Ability to work with other members of the the team.
GDPR knowledge.
Administrative Duties include:
Being first point of contact for calls from patients, hospital staff and GPs.
Ensuring professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
Patient billing, approving invoices, ensure pricing and theatre costs are accurately captured.
Prepare and manage clinic and theatre appointments/lists.
Deal with referral letters and onward referrals.
Organising and booking of theatre lists at partner hospitals.
Liaise with patients on all matters relating to the arrangement and organisation of appointments, referrals, correspondence, follow up, and any matters as delegated by the consultant.
Document management; dealing with all correspondence, typing, faxing, filing, scanning, archiving.
Ensure prompt and accurate response of all patient related and general correspondence.
Oversee diary management of some consultant for all clinical and medical business-related activity.
