Senior Merchandiser



About the role:







As Senior Merchandiser you will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, analytical ability and leadership skills, you will have a deep understanding of both market trends and internal performance data. The role is pivotal in maximizing profitability while ensuring the brand's creative vision. You will oversee sales planning and stock management and will be accountable of executing the commercial strategy.





Your responsibilities:






Be responsible for managing and developing the team to support the business's growth targets. You will support the sales growth by working across functions, to develop the seasonal department strategies - through category expansion, option planning and range planning. Ensures bottom up planning aligns with the overall business strategy & targets Manage stock and sales forecasting via WSSI. Ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times, to maximise sales potentials by channel / product type. Ensure stock control accuracy on Netsuite system. Ensures the stock is being used in the most appropriate way across the channels (Retail / E-comm / Channels works with the Retail managers on stock packages recalls Present weekly sales analysis with KPIs to indicate any areas of risk or opportunity & ensure appropriate actions are made. Build the range to present at Buy meeting using robust analysis to forecast unit buy quantities by line - taking into account catalogue planning (pagination), promotional activity, marketing activity / campaigns Manage POS, Sale and Terminal stock strategies to ensure maximum sell through and gross profit. Support Commercial Director and Marketing team to agree sales phasing, marketing activity to populate trading calendar. Consider impact of geographic markets, digital expansion, channel and distribution opportunities. Clear diagonal involvement in Ecommerce merchandising - and ensures digital data is used to help with the direction of range build and trading decisions Working closely with Marketing using customer insights and sales data to help drive catalogue and email communication strategy. As necessary, be a part of new system implementations as far as it involves merchandising and improving our ability to access and report on business information. Work with Design and Buying/Production to make sure brand vision, margin and delivery targets are achieved. Managing the continuity range and in stock targets Drive efficiencies through process improvement and leads strategic projects to continuously improve the merchandise function
