Overview
As a Senior Merchandiser, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering profitable, customer-focused ranges. You'll ensure we have the right stock, at the right time, in the right styles and options - driving commercial success while keeping our customer front of mind. Alongside delivering strategy and results, you'll lead, coach, and mentor the merchandising team, setting high standards and building capability for the future.
Location: 3-4 days per week at our North Acton office, 1-2 days working from home.
What You'll DoDevelop and deliver the product planning strategy for your department, aligned with margin and growth targets. Influence and shape the range framework, ensuring commercial balance and customer appeal across all markets. Analyse trading data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and translate insights into actionable plans. Build and optimise range architecture, size, and phasing with a "customer first" mindset. Lead financial planning, including KPIs, OTB spend, demand phasing, and WSSI reforecasting. Present and validate buy quantities, supported by rate of sale and hindsight analysis. Partner with Product Development to plan and sign off buys, fabric production forecasts, and seasonal handovers. Lead weekly trade meetings, driving agility in responding to risks and opportunities. Manage markdowns, terminal stock, and clearance routes to optimise profitability. Deputise for the Merchandise Manager when required.

What We're Looking ForProven experience as a Merchandiser, with strong commercial awareness and customer focus. A confident leader with experience managing and developing large teams. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills; highly analytical with excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage multiple projects. A problem-solver who takes ownership, makes sound decisions, and can challenge constructively. Collaborative, cross-functional approach, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Passionate about coaching and mentoring, leading by example, and supporting junior team members to thrive.
