Role Description



An exciting opportunity for a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter has arisen to join the successful Southampton branch on a hybrid basis.



You will play an active role in developing the branch account in terms of growth and profitability through negotiating and securing profitable business.



You'll participate in the Global P Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information

Pay:

Circa 52,500 per year.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.



About You



As a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter, your responsibilities will include:



Acting as a Senior Authority holder focussed on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature To build and develop successful Broker relationships To be visible in the local market, you will thrive on face to face contact with brokers and end customers Provide excellent service and develop business relationships with key clients To achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Motor fleet commercial underwriting experience The ability to build, develop and maintain positive broker relationships. A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude Good influencing and negotiation skills. Strong capability for team working.
