Job Description

: Senior Network Engineer

Reporting To: General Manager

To be responsible for:

The operations activities of the Connect (Network) Division to ensure the co-ordination of appropriate resource to ensure the satisfactory completion of all works or support issues both externally and internally to Customer and Company.

Ensuring that Engineering proactively demonstrates and maintains a commitment to high levels of external and internal Customer satisfaction.

Job Role and Responsibilities

Operational Activities

1. To be responsible for ensuring the appropriate allocation and timely completion of work tasks for those for whom you have responsibility.

2. To be responsible for the efficient use of resource in providing technical support.

3. To be responsible for the co-ordination of subcontract labour as required.

4. To be responsible for the support of software and equipment solutions at Customer's premises to ensure effective service within agreed Service Level Agreement's and to the standards required by the Company.

5. To be responsible for ensuring the appropriate level of liaison between accredited Partners, Sales, Engineering and Customers is maintained to ensure efficient and effective service provision.

6. To be responsible for providing consultancy services to Customers and Sales as

required.

7. To be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication between Atlas Communications NI Ltd and third party network service providers as required.

8. To be responsible for ensuring that Customers receive the correct solutions to

meet their scope of requirements.

9. To be responsible for the provision of appropriate advice and support to

Customers as required.

10. To be responsible for the provision, planning and co-ordination of effective training and mentoring as required.

11. To be responsible for the planning of travel and accommodation requirements to Customer sites in accordance with the procedures required by the Company.

12. To be responsible for the completion of the required records in respect of the installation, configuration and commissioning of solutions as required.

13. To be responsible for ensuring complete Customer satisfaction in respect of all aspects of work carried out.

14. To be responsible as required for on-site maintenance.

15. To be responsible as required for the provision of office based technical support internally and externally.

16. To be responsible for ensuring that all issues are dealt with as quickly as is practicable and to report to your Manager any issues that may arise from specific faults.

17. To be responsible for the development of the appropriate level of customer trust and confidence.

18. To be responsible for assisting Engineers and developing their skills and experience as required in line with the Company's strategic development plan.

19. Adhering to and developing the policies and procedures within the Company Integrated Management System ISO9001 (2015) and ISO27001 (2022).

20. To proactively engage with Customers in recognising solutions leading to commercial development opportunities.

Supervision

1. To be responsible for the supervision, support and knowledge development of those for whom you have responsibility.

2. To be responsible for the achievement of objectives set for your operational division and the performance of individuals therein.

3. To be responsible for the initiation of investigatory and improvement processes where performance does not meet Company standards.

Resources

1. To be responsible for ensuring that all available material resources are

utilised in a cost effective manner.

2. To be responsible for ensuring that the need for additional material resources is identified to your Line Manager as appropriate.

3. To ensure that all relevant purchasing, quality and other company procedures are followed as required.

1. To be responsible for ensuring those all projects for which you have been assigned responsibility are carried out effectively to achieve the agreed goals and targets.

2. To have the ability to manage whole project life cycle engagement, from initial concept development. Commercial services design and specification with Sales followed by project implementation and establishment of on-going managed services.

3. To accurately develop project timelines and costs and carry out project delivery on time and on budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

Juniper JNCIS-ENT / Cisco CCNP

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE



Essential



Extensive demonstrable post qualification experience within the Information Communication network industry with demonstrable experience of Installation / Maintenance / Support Engineering roles along with proven experience in a technical project coordination roll with corresponding skills.

Proven ability to proactively lead an Engineering team in a project and/or support role

Proven ability of solution design and customer facing technical sales support and solution design.

Demonstrable ability to successfully receive technical training, achieve certification and subsequently deploy the imparted knowledge to best advantage.

Proven ability of incident management to investigate issues, analyse, present and implement options for achieving resolution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-60,000.00 per year
