Job Description

Culligan UK is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a key role in managing and improving network infrastructure across multiple sites. This role requires expertise in Fortinet networking solutions, Azure networking, and enterprise IT infrastructure.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, automation, and troubleshooting, and will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining critical network systems to ensure business continuity.


To thrive in this role, you should be a proactive self-starter, comfortable working alone or as part of a team. You'll need excellent time management skills, be an outstanding communicator, a tech enthusiast with a detail-oriented mindset, and possess strong troubleshooting capabilities.


This role with involve frequent travel to Culligan sites across UK & Ireland to support and manage network deployments.

Lead the design, deployment, and management of Fortinet-based networking solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP. Develop and maintain FortiManager templates for efficient device deployment. Manage Azure VWAN and Azure Networking, including Site-to-Site VPNs, load balancers, application gateways, and routing. Troubleshoot network-related issues using CLI & log analysis. Ensure security, stability, and efficiency of network systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Document network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting processes. Oversee and deliver key IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful implementation. Provide high-level support for IT operations, working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and optimize performance. Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to existing network security Policies.

Requirements

Fortinet Certified Solutions Specialist Extensive experience with FortiGate firewalls Strong knowledge of FortiManager (device template creation, firewall deployment, ADOM management) Competency with FortiSwitch & FortiAP Experience with Azure VWAN & Networking (VPNs, troubleshooting, load balancers, routing) Ability to create detailed network design documentation Proven track record of delivering complex network projects Fortinet Certified Solutions Specialist: Network Security (LAN Edge Architect elective) Fortinet Certified Professional: Network Security (FortiManager Administrator elective) Advanced experience with FortiManager VPN Manager Strong expertise in FortiSwitch & FortiAP configuration Experience with FortiAnalyzer, FortiMonitor/PRTG Automation knowledge (network scripting and optimization) Hamina Wi-Fi mapping or equivalent experience 802.1x authentication & server support knowledge
