Department Summary
The Growth Team is responsible for driving incremental revenue for Hogarth. Focussed primarily on New Business, the team is one of the few that works closely with all departments across the business to deliver best in class responses to client requests for proposals. Often the first touch-point a new client has with the company, the team plays a critical role in presenting Hogarth in the best possible light whilst living and breathing the company values.
What does a Senior New Business Manager do at Hogarth?
Tasks include closely working with a wide variety of teams to deliver written responses to RFxs and taking ownership of the process (i.e. leading individual projects to ensure responses are completed and submitted on time and to the highest quality levels); thinking strategically to draft carefully crafted responses for pitch presentations; liaising with other WPP agencies and/or colleagues in relation to New Business opportunities; building strong relationships with WPP Growth leaders and intermediaries; working on other ad-hoc New Business projects as required (such as case studies, marketing collateral, written articles); designing new business processes and seeking continuous improvement to the current WOW.
The Senior New Business Manager will need to have a deep understanding of all of Hogarth's capabilities, have a willingness to learn and always be at the forefront of the latest services we are developing.
Responsibilities

  • Taking accountability and ownership to deliver successful outcomes for specific New Business opportunities when allocated.
  • Driving the pitch / RFx process and ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Attending client meeting and pitch presentations when required
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver against specific growth requirements by supporting with their content needs.
  • Maintaining a deep strategic understanding of the full breadth of Hogarth's capabilities and service offerings.
  • Building strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders in Hogarth, WPP, WPP OpCos and Intermediaries.
  • Accountable for ensuring the New Business Growth Hub and any other information resources are up to date with the latest content and adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Managing New Business Exec / Content Managers in delivering against their KPIs
  • Monitoring and evaluating innovative industry campaigns and the competition - keeping an eye on what's happening in the industry and within Hogarth.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders
This role reports to Director level
You will work closely with all teams across the business including; account handling, marketing, production, operations, commercial, finance and legal.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with people at all levels within Hogarth, WPP and WPP OpCos.
  • Multitasking as second nature.
  • Entrepreneurial - you have to have a passion for achieving goals and taking ownership of and responsibility for what you do.
  • You must be highly organised as we deal with large volumes of content. This is made available to stakeholders on the New Business Growth Hub and this must be maintained and up to date.
  • Customer focus - this is essential in everything we do. Our customers are clients, internal stakeholders and colleagues from across the WPP network.
  • Business and financial awareness - our new business approach is focused on delivering high ROI (e.g. maintaining our success rates converting opportunities to profitable client wins)
  • Team player - our success requires a broad set of skills, so working together is essential to meet our commitments.
  • Ability to lead complex projects with multiple moving parts
  • Professional - wherever we go, we need to represent our brand in the best possible way.
  • Extremely proactive, organised, positive and outgoing.
  • Attention to detail is of paramount importance.
  • Hungry - you should want to win and remain focused on this at all times.
  • Inquisitive - innovation is what drives us forward, you should have a natural curiosity about the world around you and specifically with regards advances in the creative content production space.
  • Experience of supporting the pitch process for New Business.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Background in Production / Digital / Data / Content agency.
  • A general understanding of all media channels - offline, press, outdoor, radio, TV, PR, in-store, online, social media etc.
  • An understanding of the global advertising production market
