We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care or Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to elderly residents in a care home setting. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by supporting their daily activities and promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a genuine passion for senior care.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Supervise junior staff and provide guidance to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the management team.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in senior care.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and their families.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents.
Knowledge of IT systems for maintaining care plans and documentation is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising staff or volunteers.
A compassionate approach to senior care, demonstrating patience and understanding towards residents' needs.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be beneficial but not mandatory.

12.85 is the rate for Care Assistant, it is higher for Senior Care Assistant who have meds admin qualifications and the relevant experience. This can be discussed during an interview.
