We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to lead our night time care team.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting or through home care services.

We are a small 17 bed family run, home from home. We are on the look out for a naturally caring and warm carer to assist the residents with their night time needs & lead the night shift.

Ideally, you will have senior experience working in a care home setting.

Shift Patterns - 9pm-8am (a minimum of 3/4 nights per week)

Duties will include:

Receiving report from Person-in-charge.

Leading the night shift. Directing junior staff.

Assisting residents as necessary with personal care needs.

Assisting in delivering a high standard of holistic care to residents, promoting the core care values of privacy, dignity, rights, fulfilment, independence and choice at all times.

Ensuring that the high care standards of the home are met at all times.

Dealing with enquiries when necessary, referring to the Head of Home as appropriate.

Maintaining professional conduct in line with relevant professional body and attend mandatory training courses..

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

A minimum of NVQ Level 2/3 Award in Adult Health and Social Care or a willingness to work toward this.

NISCC registered. (or willing to apply)

Be willing to complete an Access NI check

Provide 2 references

Desirable

Paid carer experience Experience of working with people with Dementia Experience of administering medication
