As a Senior Nursery Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our practitioners to embrace our ethos and implement care and practices aligned with our curriculum. The successful candidate should possess confidence in their understanding of child development, demonstrating the ability to guide and support others in this regard. It is essential you are capable of being the ALN lead for the nursery and have experience in conducting tours of a setting to prospective parents as well as all round excellent communication skills.

Your Qualifications and Experience:



You

must

hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification, at least

Level 3

or above. It must be recognised by Social Care Wales. Detailed knowledge and understanding of CIW regulations and the Curriculum for Wales. Experience of CIW inspections. Leadership experience within a nursery setting. Extensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Experience of working with children with additional learning needs. Have a clear and valid DBS. Excellent references, with preferably one from an Early Years establishment.

Skills



The ability to inspire, support, and develop a team. Good communicator and someone who can cooperate well under pressure with the Nursery Manager and Directors. Bags of drive and determination with a 'make it happen' attitude and a positive, happy approach to your work and colleagues. Happy to take instruction from senior staff, with a desire to further your own knowledge within Early Years through taking part in further training and enhancing your qualifications. You will be supported by the nursery in all training and qualifications that you undertake. Empathetic, caring and friendly

Key responsibilities



To oversee the efficient and safe running of the nursery and support the Room Leaders ensuring they too are managing their Base Rooms appropriately. To provide guidance and leadership to other members of the team particularly with planning, welfare of children, safeguarding, health and safety and team work. To provide coaching, supervision and career guidance and advice to team members. To contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff. To contribute to the settling-in process for new and transition children. To develop strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, children and external support services. To assist in the day to day operational running of the nursery whilst maintaining a strong focus on childcare in own base room - manage the nursery effectively in the Nursery Manager's absence.

Self-Management



Attend training courses to further personal development. Perform any ad hoc duties as required. Actively contribute and participate as part of the team, attending team meetings and other events. Is mindful of personal safety and safety of colleagues. Assists the Nursery Manager with initiatives that directly benefit the Nursery
Salary listed based on age 21+ . Different rates may apply for younger candidates.

Up to 300 Hiring Bonus based on contracted days*
