About the Role



We're looking for a passionate Senior Nursery Manager to lead our established, nature-inspired nursery based within the heart of Avon Valley Farm Park. This vibrant setting brings learning to life with endless opportunities for outdoor exploration, animal care, and meaningful daily experiences. As our Senior Nursery Manager, you'll champion excellence across every area of the nursery -- from staff development and quality standards to parent partnerships and community engagement. Your Role & Responsibilities...



Leadership & Staffing



Inspire, develop, and grow a high-performing team. Lead supervisions, appraisals, and staff development plans. Promote a positive, collaborative culture rooted in care and professionalism. Build strong, supportive links with the Avon Valley Farm Park team to enrich the children's daily learning.

Quality & Compliance



Ensure high-quality practice in line with the EYFS, Ofsted, and all statutory requirements. Lead on quality assurance, audits, and inspection readiness. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.

Community & Marketing



Proudly represent the nursery within the Avon Valley community and wider farm park. Lead social media, marketing, and open days to maintain high occupancy. Build strong, positive relationships with families through exceptional communication and care.

Strategic & Operational Leadership



Support budgeting, planning, and long-term growth strategies. Manage occupancy and waiting lists effectively. Lead or support parent meetings, events, and local partnerships.

What We're Looking For



A qualified Early Years professional (Level 3 minimum). Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or Senior Leader. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A genuine passion for outdoor learning and nature-based education. A confident, compassionate leader with a strong commitment to child-centred practice.
This role offers a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, between 7:30am and 6:00pm. Candidates may choose to work either four longer days or five shorter days.
