Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Nursery Manager to lead our early childhood education centre. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare, and foster a nurturing environment for children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood development. The Senior Nursery Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the centre's standards, supporting staff, and engaging with parents to promote the wellbeing and development of every child in our care. This is a brand new Nursery opening in Winnersh.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies. Lead, motivate, and support nursery staff to deliver exceptional childcare and early education services. Develop and implement programmes that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Manage staffing rotas, recruitment, training, and performance appraisals to maintain a high standard of care. Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and updates on their child's progress. Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed to provide a safe environment for children and staff. Organise staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to foster continuous improvement. Monitor nursery budgets and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation. Promote inclusive practices that respect diversity within the nursery community. Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively. Extensive experience working with children in childcare or nursery environments. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Valid driving licence is preferred for operational flexibility. Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are essential. Demonstrated understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to childcare settings. Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail. Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: 420,000.00-450,000.00 per year
