Join Our Adventure at Wild Roots Childcare!
About Us
At Wild Roots, we believe in the transformative power of learning through nature and play. Every day, we bring education outdoors, helping children develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. Inspired by Forest School principles and the Froebel approach, we create rich, hands-on experiences using the natural world around us.
Our activities weave key academic skills like maths and literacy into exciting outdoor adventures, while nurturing practical life skills -- from putting on boots to growing and caring for plants. We aim to ignite curiosity, foster independence, and build a deep connection with nature.
At Wild Roots, children are welcomed into a warm, home-from-home environment where they are valued, supported, and given space to thrive. With a passionate and experienced team behind them, every day is a new opportunity to create memories that last a lifetime.

- Creative, with the ability to design fun and original activities that inspire young minds.
- Skilled at building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ambitious about progressing within a nurturing and supportive setting.
- A nature lover who is as passionate about bugs, mud kitchens and Disney magic as we are!
What we're looking for
- A good working knowledge of child development and the EYFS.
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- A self-motivated, proactive attitude with a good sense of humour.
- Leadership skills to support the smooth day-to-day running of the setting when required.
