Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of children in the early years. Encourage, develop and lead staff within your room. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Organise key worker groups. Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children. Collaborate/lead with colleagues to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on child development. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and activities. Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns. Participate in/lead staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Leading a team is essential. A level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving license is preferred but not essential for this role.
