Job Summary:



We are seeking a compassionate and experienced

Senior Occupational Therapist

to join our

CAMHS Eating Disorders Team

, supporting young people aged 12-18 with complex emotional and physical health needs related to eating disorders.

As a senior member of the multidisciplinary team, you will take a lead role in delivering evidence-based, person-centred occupational therapy interventions that promote recovery, engagement, and independence in daily life. You will contribute to assessment, care planning, therapy delivery, and service development.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide specialist OT assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with eating disorders Support clients to rebuild functional skills, routines, and self-care impacted by their condition Develop and deliver individual and group therapy sessions that address sensory, emotional, and social functioning Work closely with families and carers to support recovery and safe care at home Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, dietitians, nurses, and medical staff Supervise junior staff, students, or assistants where appropriate Participate in clinical audits, outcome measurement, and service development initiatives Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to risk assessments and care plans Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote trauma-informed, person-centred practice

Requirements:Essential:



Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration Experience working in mental health, ideally within CAMHS or eating disorders Strong clinical reasoning and risk assessment skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:



Experience in family work or systemic practice Additional training in CBT, DBT, or sensory integration Knowledge of current guidelines in the treatment of eating disorders (e.g., NICE, FREED model)
